Visit to ACHEMA by students

Registration for Student Groups as pdf-file

Student Groups

University students (including postgraduates) have the possibility to visit ACHEMA 2009 free of charge if they have applied as a group in advance and are accompanied by a tutor from their university who is also in charge of the professional supervision of the group. The tutor will have free access to WOICE of ACHEMA on the website www.achema.de in order to prepare himself for the ACHEMA visit. Up-to-the-minute information on ACHEMA 2009 will also be accessible on the website www.achema.de. Please send the " Registration for Student Groups " to DECHEMA / ASTZ by April 1, 2009. The tickets will be sent to you in advance by mail.

The student groups are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Please see our notes on preparation

" Recommendations on preparation and realisation of the ACHEMA visit for student groups " .

If you wish for accommodation in a youth hostel or guest house, please contact the hostels directly at

http://www.jugendherberge-frankfurt.de/e-haus.htm
http://www.jugendherberge.de/en/?ID=5
http://www.fritz-emmel-haus.de
http://www.diejugendherbergen.de

We advise you to book accommodation early, as experience shows that youth hostels are already booked out months ahead of ACHEMA.

If your group requires private or hotel accommodation, please fill out the form “room reservation“ (included in the ACHEMA programme which will be published at the beginning of 2009) and send it back to Tourismus+Congress GmbH, Frankfurt am Main. Online reservations can be made at http://www.frankfurt-tourismus.de/cms/tourismussuite/en/home.html.

Under certain conditions you can apply for a travel refund from DECHEMA. The amount of the refund depends on the funds provided and on demand. Requirements for a travel refund are:

  • An informal letter from the head of your university department applying for the travel refund and specifying the travel expenses. This letter should be sent to DECHEMA / ASTZ together with the registration form for the student group.
  • A short report on the ACHEMA visit of the group has to be handed in on a form at the end of the visit at the counter ASTZ in the presence of all participants of the group. The form will be sent to you with the acceptance of the application for travel expenses.
  • Submission of receipts for travel expenses after the visit. The final calculation of the amount of the refund is incumbent upon DECHEMA. The total amount for the whole group will be transferred to an account of the university or department concerned.

Individual visitors

Students who wish to visit ACHEMA 2009 individually can purchase season tickets for € 15.- or day tickets for € 6.- at the ticket counters by showing their student ID.
